About Us
Pattacakes was established in 1999 by sisters
Jane Todd and Sarah Cripps as a partnership
Jane has a degree in Home Economics from London University and a Post Graduate Teaching Certificate from Surrey University. Jane taught Food Technology and then specialised in Health Education gaining a Masters Degree, going on to work in NHS Health Promotion Management for over 10 years, advising and training policy makers on national and local health promotion issues including healthy eating and nutrition.
Jane is a Managing Partner of The Pattacakes Partnership,
a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health and a consultant member of the Design and Technology Association (The professional body for Food Teachers)
Sarah has a degree in Home Economics from Leeds University and RIPH diploma in Food Hygiene. She spent over 10 years working in the food industry working for Forte, initially as Purchasing Manager with food purchasing responsibility, negotiating with national and european suppliers and developing and sourcing new foods. She provided specialist nutritional knowledge to airline customers and delivered training on food hygiene matters. Sarah is a Managing Partner of The Pattacakes Partnership, a Member of the Royal Society of Public Health and a consultant member of the Design and Technology Association (The professional body for Food Teachers)
Jane and Sarah are also trained barristas and can often be found behind the counter of their local community fair trade cafe!!
